Default Mod Compilation

Just finished reading through all 773 pages. Took a while, but powered through some of the pointless arguments to get to the end. I have decided to write down a compilation of some of the best mods I have found that I believe could improve the look and functionality of my truck. PS I have a 2012 FX4 with a 4" rancho lift sitting on Trail Grapplers MT with 20" rockstar rims along with nfab light bar upfront and nfab step bars and a retractable tonneau cover.

-Ambient lighting for the bed (price?)
-LED Bulb swap (price?)
-reverse bulbs(2), map lights (includes cargo lights, tag lights, and puddle lamps (9?)
-Brake lights (4)
- front side markers (2)
- parking lights front (2)
-Deezee tailgate assist (about $30)
-Reverse pods ($20 on amazon)
-Paint rings around air vents from chrome to color of choice ($5)
-Paint emblems ($5)
-Tailgate lock actuator (price?)
-Backseat flipdown on the Super Crew cab (free)
-Paint or install LED in mirror reflectors (depends)
-LED lights in footwells (depends)
-AC pipe insulation ($5)
-Paint guards for door jambs on body (?)
- Under backseat storage box for Super Crew cab ($20)
- Paint speaker mesh grill ($5)
- Magnetic console light ($10)
-Bed divider with 2x? ($10)

This list does not represent all of the modifications, but most of them that I would like to do.
I already have the tailgate assist, replaced reverse light bulbs, installed reverse light pods, and installed the switchback lights up front. I have ordered the LED replacement map and tag lights along with the magnetic console light. I appreciate everyone's crafty ideas for functionality and aesthetics! Amazon is where I am getting most of my parts and plan on doing many of these things in the future.

When you wet sanded them, how long did you leave the sandpaper in the water? Ive never wet sanded before and would like to do this to my mirrors.

Installed my dual USB charging socket where the old cig lighter socket was and use velcro strips that I lying around to keep lid closed and not have to worry about looking for a new looking latch.

I like things like this

I did something similar when I did the jumpseat/console swap. The lid on the console I brought had a broken latch. The lids run for around $75, so instead I used a magnetic latch made for cabinets. Similar to this. Works great. I kind like the magnet better than the OEM latch.

May have to go this route if I tire of the velcro. How does it hold up when the rest is raised up? I had to add more strips than the 2 I had. Kept opening up on me and dumping everything that was in there.

i haven't had any problems with it. It's a relatively strong magnet. Never had the lid open on it's own. I originally bought two of these magnets, but installed one, and it does the job on its own.

This is for a floor console though, not a jump seat. So I can't speak for when the seat would be raised up, because, frankly, I don't have the seat anymore lol

So i read through the first 250 pages and will keep reading through them but do have a list already.

Deezee tailgate assist
Backseat Flipdown
Upgrade all lights inside and out leds
Either 2x6 or 2x8 for truck bed
Plastidip vents, emblems, and probably tires.
Glossy Pillars
Underseat storage

Great thread. Going to be keeping up on this from now on.
