Hmm, what about in the trailer hitch itself? Or would that compromise the tow rating. 2 small holes shouldnt cause to much of a structural breakdown, or would it?
Edit, maybe replacing the license plate bolts with 4 of them would work???

I think I'd be pretty careful about drilling into the hitch. But that might work using the plate bolt holes. Might have to enlarge the holes a bit, but that's no big deal.

Way to go Dad, bet your kid loves it. I'm going to look at locations for placing a couple of those at front of my non-power wheels f150, shining out about 45degrees each way. Looks like in or behind the grill might have a few good spots.

Plate bolt replacement with these little lights might be a great plan. Even 2 of them will be pretty bright.

There is a piece of sheet metal welded to the hitch. It it where I mounted my rigid dually backups.
The above are from when I replaced the plastic cap on the bumper. From the wrinkled nature of the sheet metal and the damaged plastic cap, it looks like the previous owner backed into something. Anyway it is a great mounting location and you do not have to remove the cap to drill into the sheet metal.

Hey All, anyone else find the projector lights are awesome straight ahead but when there's no street lighting, the area outside the beam is pitch black? I drive off pavement for hunting etc and find tight corners are completely black. This can be a risk to vehicle, or pedestrian or wildlife. Anyone know if this is normal for these factory projector lights or if the beam width is adjustable? (High beam doesn't make it much wider either)

I drive dark dirt Maine roads on the weekends for the the past 20 years. The last 2-1/2 have been no sweat since I bought my 2014.
Look at my fence in the 3rd picture it lights up the side immediately.
Also you can see what you're talking about in the picture looking at my garage. With just the headlights only a 1/3 of the bush is lit. With the fogs you can see it completely.
Just some friendly advice using what the factory gave us. Add-ons of course would always be the better option.
Yellow 45 watt halogen fog lights are imo the next best thing short of replacing the bucket.

I had a set of optilux yellow halogen bulbs in my truck and they ended up melting the plug on the drivers side. I was definitely a bulb issue. I used dielectric grease when I installed them. Bulb kept flickering on and off before it melted. I switched to a set of yellow LED bulbs. These are adjustable so you can turn the LEDs. I found they are a lot brighter with the LEDS on the sides instead of the top and bottom. I do a lot of freeway driving and they light up the lines and road signs really well. I would love to upgrade to a set of rigid in the future. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GZJ4Z3M..._2Iu.xbW2DCBRY
