It did come stock with the truck. The vinyl is much better than carpet for my lifestyle. With dogs in and out of the truck and snow and mud constantly around me, carpet is a hassle. My last truck had carpet and I much prefer the vinyl. Carpet will definitely give the interior a more luxury than utility look but I don't think any of us buy trucks for how classy they make us look.

Lol, I'd wager that a majority buy trucks now as a luxury. My theory is those SUV driving soccer moms/dads have been targeted by advertising and they bought into it. Look at how cushy these trucks have become and look at all the MPG, the ride is bad, something rattles, it's not quiet enough, etc threads!
But I still want mine with carpet

Beer, Boats, and Trucks.
Looks and comfort were definitely a big factor in my truck purchase. I'll take soft carpet and a couple extra minutes of cleaning over vinyl every time.

This is pretty damn close to the $50 mark.
Spent 60 on a navigator rear center console, painted it with spray paint i had (should have just bought better matching paint, oh well) and the re-upolstered the lid with about 10 dollars worth of marine vinyl.
not too shabby for $70. Not sure how i feel about it yet, but definitely like it more than the crappy jumpseat.

shipping would be insane for it though, I could barely lift the thing out of the truck...gotta be damn near 100 pounds.

Looking back, I realize I may have been a bit rude to rag on those who like carpet. I will admit that clean carpet looks better than the vinyl, and not everyone buys a truck to take it to the farm and get it dirty.
With kids, dogs, and plenty of trips to places that bring mud, sand, snow, and salt into the cab. My carpet would go the way of the dodo if I didn't get good mats for it. I spent about $200+ on mats for the font and back, and they cover 90% of the carpet. Yet somehow dirt still gets under them, and every month or so I need to pull them out and vacuum. I wish I had been able to find a good Screw with the vinyl. Maybe next time....

carpet is just a PITA in a truck, in my opinion. My 07 f150 had vinyl and it was honestly one of my favorite things about that truck.
