Lights up back more than picture shows. Total under $10. Having 4 probably would be really bright! I don't need to light up the back often enough to justify hard wired ones. Changing batteries now and again isn't a big deal for me. I'd say a good mod. eBay seller "Victoryduanshop". http://www.ebay.com/itm/230813229350
How are yours holding up in the colder weather,?

You're from Alberta, how are they in the cold weather?

I did a few things recently for my truck under $50 each, and one was free even.

First are some paracord grab handles from Stage3Motorsports. I love these things. I bought them when I ordered my tuner. They are $45 and you can pick different colors.

Next up was an LED tailgate bar. I got it for $36 shipped on eBay. It seems to function very well so far. Time will tell.

The free mod, which I really like, is a dome light override. I can't stand getting into a vehicle that's all lit up at night it just bugs me a bit. I did this on my previous vehicle and had to do it to this tank. The ironic part about ford is they give you the option to override the main dome but if you have a truck with map lights they still come on. So I got crafty, snipped the interior illumination circuit for the map lights at the connection, wired the lights power to the rear dome's switch and bingo, dome light override and no need to add a switch. I didn't take pictures but could easily tear down and do a walk through if anyone's interested.

I have gone back and forth on the tailgate LED's. Sometimes I like them and sometimes I don't. Will be interested in how long they last as I have read many reviews that say the lights go out quickly.

I spent a few more bucks and bought the Bully one. I've had it a year with no issues. I had a cheap auto zone one on my last truck and it lasted 3 months before condensation corroded the hell out of the inside of it.

Yup just bulbs, only time theyll help is fog or rain. Appear dimmer on a normal nite.
