Ate those aftermarket bulbs in your parking lights? If so, which ones.

Free. Had a glasspack laying around from my turbo 5.0 build and some stainless pipe so I made me up a exhaust for my ecobeast. Sounds better than I figured it would. Dumped for now with stock tip, gonna buy a 6"

no those are the stock bulbs. I think it is just the lighting. I was gonna install some switchback LEDs that I have from my old f150 but I don't like the way it looks with the center lights.

I took me 30 mins to install mine following the thread above.

Good luck
Installed the deezee tailgate assist using this method. I used gorilla glue on the nut/washer and clamped for a few hours. Lightly taped that to a wrench that was taped to a screwdriver. Slid the whole thing into the hole and it reached perfectly to where the screw hole is. A few turns on the screw into the washer (dipped the screw in Locktite) and I yanked the tool off the washer and then tightened it down with a 13MM wrench. Very snug. I had trouble getting the bolt that holds the tailgate string off with the t50 wrench provided in the kit. Not enough torque.

Very impressed with this mod. The cylinder works well and takes a lot of load off the gate. Thanks for posting the idea about doing this the right way and skipping the nutsert.

Anyone know a good guide for tying some LED lights into the fuse box? I want mine to come on when door opens and stay on while truck is running.

The few videos I found online weren't that detailed. (not an electrical guy here.)

I bought
this this
set. As well as an add-a-circuit kit.

Have you got a sound clip by any chance? Is it a purple horny or a cherry bomb?

Credit goes to "depami" for the inspiration, but I removed my chrome running boards, and rear mount. I'm going to leave them off for awhile to see how I like it like this. I just might get a piece of diamond plate, and make a cover for the "step", once I get time. Or, if I decide to put the boards back on, paint them black. LOL, bad weather as in cold, on the horizon, so I've got a while to make up my mind.

Also, my trick to keep the nutsert from slipping was to put a little bit of the locktite on the nutsert bolt before installing it. It provided enough friction to allow it to tighten up, but still came out easily
Same here blue loc tite. No problems after 6 months

I did my first mod today for $5.03 and 15 minutes. I replaced the stock air intake with another stock intake tube from another model. The new tube is twice the diameter, but fit my box perfectly! I was going to mod the silencer on the intake, but did not see it. I was able to stick my hand all the way up in the tube, so I figure it is designed differently? 2009 F150 STX 4.63V
