I used a pack of the 12" alpena led strip from auto zone. They are about 30 bucks a pack but I used my reward card and I get 10% off cause my buddies still work there from when I used to work there.
I'll snap a pic of where I put Em when I get off work before I go into my night job

Cajun928 - thanks much for posting this. Picked a Sachs unit up today ($20), installed in about 10 minutes, kinds of nice they include all the tools you’d need and very happy with it. After heat shrinking the foam spacer, I put a little lube on it so it doesn’t wear through as other have indicated, but so far for $20, awesome mod! Thanks Cajun.

Hey Brett,

Can I ask how you wired the hood lights in. Tapped? Where? Thanks.

Took the power from the lights to the switch in the cab and the ground from the lights is grounded right as they leave the hood there is a couple grounds right there on the left side. I then ran a wire from the switch to the battery (added a 30 amp fuse just to be safe)
All wires are pretty much hidden I can take more pics tomorrow(well later today) if you'd like

Hey Cajun, do you remember how far down the cable it said to place the foam?
I remember my last one being very specific in the placement of the foam piece for the cable to bend properly.
Thanks if you see this,
John
