this might be a dumb question (I'm not the most electrically inclined haha), but how did you wire the diode in? I'm going to be wiring a flasher to my reverse lights and since I want to do left and right I need to put diodes in so they both don't turn on. Did you solder it in or did you use a crimp connection? The leads/wires on the diode are pretty small compared to the wire so I haven't done it yet as I'm not 100% sure on how to do it haha.

finally got the wiring done.
The cable that came with the camera had a power lead running up to the front of the truck where the display was mounted -
The display power lead was connected to the power wire in the video cable
The camera power leads were connected to the power lead on the video cable at the tail end of the truck, and the power leads were tapped into the passenger side reverse light wires (soldered them in at 11 PM last night).
I used a diode (1N4001) to feed power from the reverse light to the camera system, since I eventually intend on being able to turn it on from a switch in the front - the diode will prevent the reverse light(s) from trying to come on when i turn the camera system on.

F150 OEM Black Stowable Bed Extender
This was a find I got this from a member for the price of shipping and that price was $19.00. It is a little beat up but who cares,it has a broken clip and for 8 bucks from my dealer that will be fix so for a total of 27.00 dollars I got a great deal.

I like the Tailgate Assist from DeeZee. Retails for around $50 and makes opening the tailgate a pleasant experience if you have your hands full.
Also, I am liking what some members are doing by putting amber lights on their grille, like the Raptors. Looks like the required parts will run from $20-$40 and the end result is very nice.

Hahaha I dunno has the cowbell sittin in my garage and Ziptied it up just to annoy people when I go over speed bumps in stuff. One of those just for kicks sorta things.
But on another note zip ties are quite a great way to play a prank on a friend. Last night I was at my non mechanical buddy's house so when I left I crawled under his jeep and put about 10 zip ties around his drive shaft beside the muffler and left the slack I lined em Up with his muffler so now when ever he drives the slack hits the muffler and its loud as heck! Haha he still has no idea what it is makin the noise!! I highly recommend trying this on your non mechanical buddies its hilarious! His jeep sounds like a dang minigun going down the highway hahaha

Or you can get the bolt on type, as seen here. They are inexpensive but you'll need to either fabricate a bar to attach them to, or attach them directly to the grille.
Hopefully that helps!
