I just installed a tailgate "lock". I know its not 100%, but it will deter any tailgate thief long enough so that they (hopefully) just leave. And yes, I still lock my tailgate with my regular key. This is if they bust through the handle lock and want to try and take my tailgate.

1.25" hose clamp = $0.99 + 15 minutes

The first picture is looking from the top (top of gate to the right). Gate open looking down at the bed.

The second picture is looking up underneath the bumper with the gate shut (rear of truck to the left).

I installed the clamp using a wrench to tighten the clamp from underneath while the gate was shut (not an easy task by the way). There is no access to the nut on the clamp with the gate open.

Installed a "wannabe" interior light kit. It's not oem so it costs far cheaper. Around $25-30.00 to do. Added them in the door handles, front foot area and back facing under the front seats. They come on with the interior lights when a door opens and fade with the interior lights after closing the door. They're also tied to a switch where I can have them on full time.

Can you elaborate more? How did you wore the door handles? Also the foot well lights? Where do I tap into so they come on when doors open and fade out?

Wish it was that cheap in Canada. A full large tank is over 150$ here
