13'TwinScrew, we're not doggin' your new truck, but did you know all these things?
I did.... My choice was in part based on just how fast the issues are being addressed. Ford should NOT still have the misfire issues, IMHO.

As far as underpowered....I think if you look at the new 5.3L ecotec dynos they appear a little under-rated. 380hp on E-85 at the engine I think. It feels stronger than the 2011 5.0 Scab I have driven on duty several times. I bought my F150 after driving it...rode awesome.

The NEW 2015 F150 is Ford's main focus at fixing the issues...that rang pretty clear when they addressed my issues.

I'll be making the same move as well when my 13 runs out of warranty, my gmc was in the shop less in the 6 years I owned it than the ford was in the first.

I'm looking at buying a new truck as well and looked at the chevy as i owned chevy up until I bought my F150.

but after seeing the 2015 and the all flat floor and amount of room in the F150 i coudn't go to chevy. Also the 700 pound loss is a big bonus and insurance is going to be cheaper becuase of the active break assist, Fwd camera and sensors,

I recently sold my last chevy which was a cobalt and got an escape titanium and our insurance went down (even thought the escape cast more than double) because of the sensors.

Hey! I'm here for the exact opposite reason. After my last two oil-burning AFM's, I did what every die-hard Chevy guy would never dream of doing... bought a Ford! My 2007 had to go at just under 50,000 miles and my 2011 at less than 30,000 miles. You better keep a case of oil in the tool box, because you'll need to add a quart at every fuel-up. Chevy's ride and look better to me, but I can't see myself going back any time soon.

On the other hand, in the last 6 months, my new F150 has had badge replacement, poorly designed door hinge that lead to body damage, bad factory paint job, and a grinding 4wd.

I have had no problems at all with my '13 Eco, after 12K miles. None. I guess I should sell it immediately and buy a Silverado...didn't realize I was driving a ticking time bomb. Thanks for the heads up.

With the mounting issues with my ecoboost and lack of Ford actually fixing the issues, I am shopping for a GMC now. I've always been a Chevy guy and have NEVER had an issue or denied warranty for anything in the past 15 years of owning GM's, this is from one side of the state to the other.
I have been mad for the past year and a half that I fell for the ecoboost hype. I love the looks of my f150, the interior, and the power when it is running correctly, it also tows like a raped ape, but with the many weeks its been in service thus far it's just not worth it anymore.
Good luck with the new GM, I'll be test driving a all terrain gmc 6.2 when I get back from the Dominican.

Just because you haven't doesn't mean you should downplay others concerns.

I'm not downplaying anyone's concerns. I am re-iterating the fact that for every Ford Truck that has these issues, there are many more that don't. Besides, last time I checked this was an F-150 forum, so you have to expect some retort from the opposite viewpoint.

Exclamation

WRONG!
My truck is NOT an Ecoboost, and I have none of the issues the OP spoke about.
