Best looking truck cap!
Yes I searched, I come up with pics but want people's opinions about the major brands that are sleek looking.
Would like to hear about durability as I open my truck tailgate many times a week.
Functionality, I will use it to transport my dog every once in a while.
Have the 6.5' bed and would love to see some sterling grey metallic trucks with caps.
Thanks in advance!

I've been happy with the two Leer caps that I have. Had to replace the handles on this one because the locks corroded this year. It's a Leer 100R.
If I did it again, I'd get the next level up, the 100XR (IIRC).

I like my Leer 100XQ. I really wanted a Snugtop, but the closest dealer to me was a 10hr drive as they don't have any dealers east of the Mississippi. Then I started looking at ARE - mainly because I heard that they have a power front window (I didn't verify that), but again, the closest dealer to me was 1.5 hrs away and would have been a hassle. The Leer dealer was 15 minutes away. It is a quality topper - I would buy one again.

I can get Leer and ARE local, both are 15 mins from me.
Looking at the Leer 100XQ
And
ARE Z series.
I like that the leer doesn't have the little trim piece around the edge where it meets the truck but not big on the little bump up on the side windows.
Guess I have some more research. Lol
Thanks for the replies so far!

Leer makes a quality product. Quality seals, tight windows, carpeted, etc.

I have a Leer (can't remember what model) and it seals great. I never have to worry about moisture at all...even in heavy rain.
However, a few months ago, the lock on my Leer was broken during a college football game (basically twisted a lot; my Leer has a single lock in the middle) and I had about $300 worth of hand tools stolen out of my bed. I still have the bed cap on, but keep nothing of value in it. The lock is worthless now.

These are the better sliding windows but different style cap also pretty good looking!

Freezing rain is my only nemesis. There is a rubber boot that keeps the handle dry and clean, but the boot can get captured in ice on the glass. Most the time a little de-icer spray will free it up, but one time the ice was so heavy that I had to use a hair dryer.
