i went with SB. i had a KN on my 05 f250 Powerstroke and i hated it. so i bought an SB and i loved it so much i had to get one for my 13' 5.0L. the build quality and materials used is pretty top notch, install is easy, and looks/performs great. you will not be disappointed.

As Sock Puppet and funmoneypit150 noted .....
OEM, stock .....
.
OEM, stock .....
- already CAI.
. - CFM exceeds engine requirements/needs. *UNLESS über engine modifications are done.
. - any increase in air flow is at the expense of filtration.
. - no contaminating the MAF sensor with oil. *Which reduces performance and MPG.
. - there are NO performance and/or MPG gains with aftermarket air intake systems. *If you're looking for performance and/or possible MPG gains, put your $$$$$ towards a tuner+tune(s).
- for the engine bay cosmetics.
. - for the increase in growl.

I would have to agree. A buddy of mine just picked up a 2012 screw. I told him to save the money on the intake and get a tune from one of the quality vendors. Better bang for your buck....

I just got my custom tunes from 5 star, but they told me they do see gains when they use intakes. So are there performance gains or not? However, I do not plan on buying a intake. Just curious cuz I feel like I see so many different opinions on these. Regarding the oil on the maf then why doesn't someone just buy a dry filter instead of oiled?
