i bought the hoen 42w fogs and they you couldn't even tell whether i had them on or off.
kind of disappointing after spending $38.95 on them and reading all the hype.
I think i'll be trying silverstars now.

So what kind of bulb do the 2012 f-150 foglights currently have now? Like what is the bulb/name type do i need to search for to replace it? Im just getting annoyed at all the eBay cheaply built replacement bulbs claiming to fit more then just one kind of bulb. Thanks guys.

Reviving an old thread:

Much like others i'd like to match my 2013 OEM HID's with the fogs; i'm considering the Hoen Xenonmatch H10's. I don't want to lose functionality though; can anyone comment on the visibility with the H10's vs. stock fogs? Also to some of the members above, how has the durability of the H10's been over the past two years? I'm not interested in having them burn out our "melt my lens" shortly ave the install.

I would go with XB LED projector fogs. The drop in place of the stock fogs and have a nice light spread that matches the HIDs. They are a little more than the bulbs at $150 from The Retro Fit Source.

I have them and they do match oem hid good. However mine have issues. I thought they were burn out 1 day. But if I tap the lense cover. They come back on. I had these for less than a yr.

That sucks, I've had mine almost a year and no problems!

Maybe get them warrantied before it runs out?

@Creedler,

I have a 2013 FX4 with the OEM HID's, and just installed new fog light bulbs to match as best as possible.

I ordered LED Fog lights from amazon, link can be found below.

For the $$$, definitely worth it, very close match to the OEM HID's, and also very bright!
Hope this helps.
