i have an 09 f150 xlt 4x4 with the 5.4 v8 and i really want a mean sounding exhaust on my truck but i dont wanna give an arm and leg for it. give me some advice, whats the best sounding and how much did you pay?

I just put true dual catback flowmaster super 44s with 3.5 inch tips on my truck and they sound real good.

Im a big fan of Borla, but they are very pricey. Next would be Gibson. I wouldnt get a cat back bolt on. i would buy the parts you need and have a exhaust shop bend the pipe and weld all the components on. It might be a little cheaper that way, it might not.

Flowmasters all the way, well not the cats. Brola makes a off road cat that just blows my mind with sound. I have brola cats and True dual Flowmasters, the sound is just amazing.

I just had a magnaflow single in dual out stainless muffler put on. I had two stainless black chrome 4" tips in front of the passengers rear wheel with stainless pipe and stainless hangers, fully welded for 410$ at my local shop. It sounds great, not too loud but when you step on it people know youve got a v8.
