Keep in mind you get what you pay for, I went the cheap route on a couple dash cams and for one reason or another they all sucked, finally bit the bullet and bought a good one but it was close to $400.
Here's the exact same model I bought but a lot cheaper now $260, (got mine 2yrs ago) for the price you can't beat it.
Twin cameras, built in dvr, goes into parking mode when stopped and records events like movement, as well as impact, recycles the memory chip when full so you can set it and forget it, built in wifi makes it a breeze to set up using a smart phone to aim the cams when mounting, video is HD 1080, etc......
Mounted the front cam behind the rear view just under the tint, have since ran the cable under the headliner down the A pillar, rear cam cable plugs into front cam so you don't have to turn it on, it's on when front one is.
Rear cam on slider, cable is looped under head liner so the window opens and closes without binding and is still hidden.
Little video I made using them just for fun.
it's HD 1080 but for some reason youtube starts it in the lowest resolution, clic the cog and change it for best viewing looks killer in full screen.

EDIT: N/M I've figured out what the deal is, having to remove the audio from the video. Once it's processed by youtube it should play.
