There's many for many different purposes. Only you can decide how you want to use it.
I got a Bakflip because it flips up completely out of the way so I can put my snowmobiles and ATVs in the bed.

There's no gas mileage difference at all.

I prefer a foldable hard cover like a backflip or flex undercover to soft or solid fiberglass ones. I like the lower profile and ease of opening and closing.

What size bed do you have? I have a leather roll up cover i'd sell you if you have the 6.5' bed. Mines an oem Ford bed cover.

Mine came with an Undercover brand cover that is *okay,* but I'd say it's surely not the best. No idea on if it was chosen by the original owner based on price, but I can tell you it surely wasn't selected because it was the best.

I like:
  1. Having a cover that locks, and this one does.
  2. The counterweighted lift, which this has (gas struts).
  3. It has a (manually operated, battery powered LED) light.
What I wish was different:
  1. It's black and will surely get hot in the TX heat. While I would prefer body color, I gotta say that if the body colored one faded, that'd look way worse.
  2. The texture simulates vinyl upholstery, which meand a little extra scrubbing; on the other hand, I won't have to wax it.
  3. Mounting brackets for the gas struts intrude slightly into the bed (VERY slightly) but are sharp and while side-loading some bags of mulch, I ripped open a couple of bags (almost ripped open my tricep).
  4. Gas struts are a little bit in the way for side-loading things, but that'd probably true to a point with all of them.

Default Best bed cover for a 2011 f150

I'm seriously considering a tri-fold or retractable cover. I have an Access soft roll up tonneau on there now. While the tonneau cover itself is perfect. 'Access' makes a great product. No leaks, works flawlessly, but it gets a little old rolling it up and back, sometimes 10 to 15 times in a day, if I need or forget one little thing.
Ya, I would just keep it open, if there weren't junkies grabbing a $100 tool, to sell it for 10 bucks, and unfortunately it's not in one area. Heroin and pill addicts are everywhere....! It's not worth taking the chance.

If I didn't use it so much, I'd be happy as hell with the Access 'Lorado' tonneau cover.

Do yourself a favor and look up the Peragon cover. It is different from pretty much any other one out there and is an incredible cover for the price. The owner of the company is a frequent poster and visitor to this site and their customer service is 2nd to none in the automotive industry or any other for that matter. They also have a paint to match option if you are so inclined and the black powdercoat doesn't work for you.

What sort of little things are you grabbing? Are you having trouble with items sliding to the front of the bed?
