Default Best bang for my buck

Ok guys I have the mod itch, so I'm torn on what to get. I want to know which would give me the best power increase and best mpg increase. I can either get a MBRP 3" cat back exhaust or an AFE stage 2 intake let me know what you guys think.

Both of these are a terrible bang for youR buck. A catback will net you zero performance gains. Only sound. A cai will probably net you a few ponies, but not worth the $300 IMO. Your best bet if you are serious about performance gains is to get a custom tune,

If I had the picking of the two it would be the exhaust for the sound.

If you have an EB, I got the best bang from the aFe scorcher and not the air or exhaust but Mikey's right.

Go for the noise.

The only thing I'm worried about is the dealer here voiding my warranty, plus I've heard that these new trucks keep the tunes in memory, is that true?

Between the options you listed, def get a catback as gives it the tone and sound you want. Neither catback or intake are gonna make a noticable difference driving around town power wise.

A tune will do that though for sure. :-) Then again, I may be slightly biased when it comes to tunes.

Get an SSI tune. Absolutely the best money you can spend on your truck, period. Switch it over to stock before taking it in. Should have no issues.

They can tell that your ECU has been flashed/tuned even after you return it to stock.

from what i could tell the IDS can only tell if the ecm has been accessed unless they send it in to ford for a real analysis, so if you had a code reader plugged in that would explain it.

Source: i worked in a shop that works soley on fords and had all the ford equipment.
