I have the Recon halogen projector back-up lights mounted off my rear leaf spring shackle. I don't like the looks of lights mounted off the bumper. You can only see these if you back up quit a ways or look underneath. Had them mounted for about a year and still working great.

Have them wired off a switch in the cab. They light up really well. They were a Christmas present from the kids. Otherwise, I would have likely bought the Rigid D2 lights, they look awesome and output is incredible.

They are super bright leds and a very well built light.

Stormsearch,

Thanks a lot for that info! I think I will definitely go for that recon kit and possibly the fire and ice strip as well... I'm sold on those recons! I guess I didn't bother to even look at them since I thought they would be way too expensive. Thanks for the recommendation. I will do an install thread next weekend for those, I am placing the order right now How is the output on those recons?

Next question... What should I ask my lady to get me for Christmas? I'm thinking Line-X Premium bedliner. Haha

I got a set of driving lights at Pep boys, wired them into the reverse and ground on the 7 pin trailer plug, fused the positive with a 15 amp inline, and then put a quick disconnect in as well in case I have to take them off to pass state inspection (VA is stupid about that stuff).

I haven't taken an output picture of the Recon's yet, but I would rate them the same as any $20 fog lights you can get at the auto part stores. We don't need to illuminate a ton of area behind us but the for the price, thought these should be better and really aren't which is why I mentioned the D2's. I'm driving the truck tomorrow, I'll snap a couple pictures at work.

This works great... from vleds.com. Cost me $60, but will be $40 for Black Friday weekend (11/25 thru 28, per email I just got tonight).

I also have LED replacements in for the stock bulbs.

I like the looks of these. Hardly noticeable until you use them. This may be the way I go. What was the price at Advance Auto Parts? Thanks.

I dont know if you know or not but Rigid has introduced a new product this year at sema, its a 2 led light, similar to the duallys but smaller and will be cheaper.

I myself will be installing a single row 10" flood for a reverse light. It should be on around Christmas!
