Default Bed help

Part in the middle

Hi all. I just got a 2008 F150 and looking to install an amp bed extender. Need to remove these but struggling to do so. Anyone have any advice? Not it’s not the tailgate latch. Thanks in advance!

You need to provide more information. Are you struggling to find a tool that will remove that? If so, it's a torx bit. I think it's a T50 size, but I could be wrong.

Yeah it's a torx bit if that's what you're struggling with. If it's getting the thing to break loose, buy an impact torx and use an impact wrench. Should bust loose. Not sure that's needed tho, it's not that old.

If youre not worried about reusing them or messing them up a set of vice grips might work too.

A pipe wrench would be even better.
