Default Bed extender from 04-18

Hey guys...I’ve had this bed extender from my 2004 f150 laying around....i was wondering if it would fit on my 2018. I need to buy the bolts that screw into the bed it seems? any input. Thanks

You’d probably get more responses if you posted your question in the ‘15+ section of the forum. This is the ‘09-‘14 section. That said, your extender looks similar to the one I have for my ‘13 (except mine uses levers for the latching pins). If its and the truck’s mounting points are the same, you’ll need the pivot bolts plus the plastic bushings that go in the bed (where the latching pins go). Technically, you don’t need the bushings, but the bed extender rattles quite a bit without them. (I use a ratchet strap or bungee cord in lieu of the bushings.)

I can't remember the bolt size, but I just bought them at Lowe's and used some washers and a grinder to size everything so there were no rattles. Ford wanted way more than I was willing to spend for the hardware kit. If your bed extender isn't OEM, the Ford hardware probably won't work anyway.
