Default Bed Cap

I'm thinking about putting a bed cap (camper shell) on my 2013 SCREW 6.5' bed.

Anyone have any advice on brand or model. I've never bought one before

One of the best and the prettiest (check out the flush windows and hidden hinges)....is the A.R.E. "Z' series. Not cheap, but one of the best looking:

I'm also a fan of the ARE Z series. I've had a couple now and they are top quality.

I had a SnugTop on my '94 Ranger 4x4. In 10 years, I never had a lick of trouble with anything about it.

For my '06 Ranger FX4 I thought I would go with a LEER... their top-o-the-line model (100Q-?). Cost over $2200 paint matched. That was the WORST experience with a truck bed cap I've ever had. The thing leaked everywhere, and even after replacing the 3rd brake light and all the seals (gratis), it still leaked. On top of that, the smug attitude of the LEER rep was a real turn-off. I let it go with the truck - I just couldn't, in good conscience, let someone else deal with it. So the Ford dealer gets to deal with it.

For my '13 F150, I got another...........SnugTop. So far so good. Very happy with it.

Stay away from LEER!

It all depends on the look you are after. I had a Raider on my 95 for like 10 yrs and the only problem I ever had was a slight water leak where the installer didn't overlap the seal correctly, but they fixed it soon after it was found.
I currently have a Century. It's nice, but I think the Raider was better, especially at the price difference, but there is not a nearby Raider dealer. My Century the front window rattles a bit and I am disappointed in the overhead storage as it was 'advertised' to me as a 'gun vault' but it's too small to fit my Benelli Super Black Eagle and my 30-06 w/scope and a soft case. The -06 will fit without the soft case and even though it's carpet lined I don't like the idea of it bouncing around without the added case protection, especially being scoped. Only guns that fit are my lever action 22 and BB gun. I will likely drill out the front this next season so my shotgun will fit.
If I didn't want the added 'protection' of a fiberglass canopy I'd be getting one of these - http://www.truckcandy.com/TC/Softopper/Softopper.htm

This thread might help out as well.

On my second Jason..."Sportsmans special". Side win doors and rear sliders. I didn't even consider a different brand or style this go round...dry...zero issue.

As far as brands go...they're all pretty much the same...you can get a dang near identical setup in different brands. Many of them use the same glass supply...lock supply...etc. minor differences in design...beyond that...they're all pretty much the same. Just got to decide which glass/door style u want...over bed or flush...single lock/double...lights...etc.

Snug top on a 2011 FX4. Leak free, nice fit, perfect color match. Have the fold down front window that gives you access to clean the glass on the truck and the cap

I went Snugtop Xtra Vision model. I had Leer last go around and liked it. The Sales people here showed me how much better Snugtop was compared to Leer. The gutter and hinge on the back window are supposed to channel water around the window better so it doesn't run in like my leer did if you are standing under the glass in the rain. I like the more recessed clamps the Snugtop has comparred to the leer's slightly obtrusive C clamps. The Latches seem better as well on this model. The Snug has some good options, Check out both if you can. They are all pricey though. Mine ran $3200 and change...

Check it out on my 6.5 bed...
