Default BDS 6in Lift Front End Sag SOLUTION!

After numerous calls to BDS and Custom Offroad Equipment about my truck sagging in the front they decided on putting preload spacers in to compensate for how much the truck dropped after two weeks. It was a brand new lift and after two weeks the front end dropped another inch to make a ridiculous rake in the front as shown in the pic below. I also told the shop and BDS that my truck was EXTREMELY bouncy driving down the interstate to where i could feel the front end fully extend from bouncing so high on those roads that get in a little rhythm of ups and downs…

SO after much stress and talking with BDS the shop that did my lift, they put the new pre load spacers in which added an inch up front to level it out, and then to come to find out that both Struts up front were BAD and had ZERO nitrous left in them at all. So i was definately not lying about this like he thought. He originally said there was no way they could sag with the struts up front and not being a torsion lift. But im just happy that they got it figured out and i should hopefully be riding a little better now. Just thought i would update for you guys. Thnks for all your inputs and help!!!

lol yea my bad. Well just saw the truck for the first time and still not happy. Truck is still not level and that was the one thing i was soooo picky about when this all started. The shop tried to charge me for all of this when they put the spacers in and found two bad struts. That's not my fault you didnt get it right the first time when i asked for the 4in blocks. Now idk what to do. Im done dealing with that shop

Doesn't look level to me does it? What a waste of time and money with this place! 3rd time!!!!!!!

I think it's ridiculous that they tried to charge you for that... How much higher is the rear now? That first pic is really saggy lol

just posted a pic on last reply i had. Not as bad but not level! i would rather have a cali lean over a rake. I hate it that much. i just like leveled trucks hence why had a leveling kit before the lift. They obviously dont know what theyre doing or didnt put the spacer in like they said which wouldnt surprise me either. Shouldnt have been charged they called it "EVEN" because he accidently charged me a carrier drop bracket charge which i dont even have a carrier bearing. Dealing with idiots

Sorry to hear that!

Here is what happened to me with my leveling kit 3" Pro Comp and 2.5" rear block installed on New 2012 XTR Screw

I wanted it level too and when it showed up the *** end was high just like yours....I was pissed my Custom Truck Shop he said give 2 months and if its the same he said bring it back, but he said it will level out more as the springs settle seeing its a New truck, and he was right now it has a slight rake and looks good to me. For me they got the front right just the back was very high.....

with my Bushwacker Flares, measuring from center
Front is 41.5"
Rear is 42.5"

I also added the Firestone Air Bag Kit in case I needed it for towing....so far hasn't been used yet...
some of the guys with actual lifts Ive talked with around here said they had there trucks perfectly level when done, and then the *** sags as the springs settle, and that's front and back.....looks worse when the back is lower then the front......
that's why I made the comment about my truck rear -end settling....

good luck

Merry Christmas

Grant

when i first got my lift done everything was equal i had the 5.5 inch block in rear then i got my nasty rake i dont like so what i did is i bought a 2 inch leveling kit from zone and put that on and now my truck sits level instead of using the 4 inch block. p.s. im running 37's and have the hidden winch on also wieghts down the front

Yeah that's not level... And I see a lot of people with BDS kits that are perfectly level.. Hope you get this all figured out.. But it sounds like an unprofessional shop

Its not level but I notice your truck isn't on level ground...front seems to be heading downward.....which makes the pic worse....just saying...
