BCM Short to Ground

So will this dtc show up on the dash as the check engine light? Or is it only gonna show with let's say for scan? Cuz I'm having the same issue with mine for the past couple of days and before I screw up my bcm I think I'm gonna switch back to my stock lights.

I have mine wired in but I still have to replace my BCM in order to see if it is a good fix. I'll report back as soon as I can get Ford to take in the truck since they are the only ones who can program it to my truck

I have the C clamp Halo's on my 2013 Platinum from Diode Dynamics and haven't had any problems with them working for nearly a month. I realize that I have the HID heads and the wiring may be a little different but the instructions were nearly the same, (Non existent in my case).
I don't have my DRL's enabled on my truck but did wire them different than you have. Here is how I wired mine, again with the OEM HID's. I ran the yellow wire to the turn signal wire, White to the headlight power wire to signal the switchback driver that the headlights were on, I grounded the black wire to chassis (actually there is a wire in the headlight harness on the HID lights, and Red to a switched 12v source.
Wired this way the switched 12V source lights them up when the engine is running for DRL's, the white dims them down when the heads are turned on, and the yellow trips the switchbacks. Again it looks like you have an XLT and I am assuming don't have the HID's, but wiring to the switchback driver may be similar in functionality.
Hope this helps!

Made an appointment at the dealership to see if they can fix my problem. Changed back to my stock headlights and bulbs with no luck of the turn signals working. Planning on just selling my retrofitted headlights. Don't wanna go through the trouble of them messing up again.

Thanks for chiming in though. It's actually good to know that SOMEONE is getting these to work as intended. Just bugs me that they'd work perfect with the engine off and only cause the issue with it running. Maybe should have majored in EE rather than CS.

Easy way to fix it is to spend some money on a obd2 reader and use the forscan software to disable bulb outage to the turn signals. Mine work perfectly now. No hyper flashing.

At this point I probably won't get around to trying until December. Senior CS student taking a heavy course load with only 5 weeks in the semester and multiple projects going on including learning like 5 new languages lol. FML.
