Default Battery Saver - Seasonal Proof

I know the battery saver issue already has a thread. But I found something interesting with WHEN it's an issue. I've always suspected that it only occurred in the winter time. But, until now I didn't have any data to back it up.

Back in February 2014 I made a video explaining the issue. It's nothing special, I was just hoping to show it to the dealer. Tonight I was looking at the views over time chart and I noticed that the video gets A LOT more views during the winter months. This leads me to believe that I'm correct in my assumption that the infamous battery saver mode issue is weather related.

Cold weather just makes it appear more readily. A lot of us experience it all year long.

It could just mean that more people are inside and on their computer in the cold months.

I only get the Battery Saver message between late Oct. to the end of March. I live in North West NJ. We are having a cold wave the last week and I get the message everyday no matter how long I drive the truck.

I have the issue a lot in the winter time (cold weather).

I have read the other thread and still confused; is there a fix for it? I am almost out of 36,000 mile bumper to bumper and thought I would get it into dealer.

winter's cold, so instead of drinkin' beer in the backyard, every gearhead is on the interwebz. At the same time, batteries suffer more when it's cold. so yeah, it makes sense, it's not like just discovered the 9th planet...

personally I'd rather have a battery saver than having to wait for a battery booster...

I check my battery voltage because I know that these trucks have had issues with the batteries. It has been a consistent 12.6 to 12.8 volts during the first year of ownership. I started getting the low battery warning the other day. I had 12.3 when I first checked it after the warning light. The next day I had 11.8 after a drive. Today it is back to 12.4. It is way lower than it should be. It is not just everyone's imagination and not just because it is cold. There is an issue with many of these F150s.

3-yr old truck, original battery, -20C days in the winter, never a problem to start... knock knock on wood, no issue here...
