Any battery made by Johnson Controls. Duralast, Sears diehard, interstate, stock motorcraft battery to name a few... There are more I'm sure. Google it and you'll see there are only like 3 companies that make car batteries.

This exactly^ There are only 3 battery manufacturers that make all of them. Delphi, Exide and Johnson Controls.

Find one that suits the wallet and enjoy.

Optima is not an option after the problems I have been reading. Either the Odyssey or the Interstate. I'm leaning towards the Odyssey as it's a bit cheaper than the Interstate. Sears website here in Canada suggests they don't carry car batteries as well or I would be checking out the DieHard. I have also read elsewhere the DieHard Platinums aren't available in Canada or they would certainly be an option. I will be checking Sears at some point this weekend though.

Northstar is a good one. 99.9% lead. Dry cell. Best battery I've ever had. Check them out

Thanks to everyone that gave info, I had forgotten or overlooked the Motocraft battery. I am going to call them (the dealer) on Monday and listen to their info as well as Google it.

Again thanks for all the ideas,

Weird to hear about optima, I ran an optima in my Wrangler for years with no problems and with several accessories installed.

My OEM battery is still going strong after 5 years of use.

I've had two Optima blues for my boat in the past few years with no luck at all. And I paid a pretty penny for the proper charger for these models. I would rather try something else in my vehicle. The top line Interstate and Odyssey are probably overkill but with all the add-on electronics I would rather be safe than sorry. Off to Sears to see what they have and also Active Green/Ross as apparently they carry DieHards. Hope they have the Platinums!

They are ALL a crap shoot, I've had good luck with Motorcraft as well, until the one that came with my new truck (less than 2 yrs old) replaced it with a Johnson Controls made Walmart battery.

Price does not = quality so get the least expensive one you find.

Die hard platinum, odyssey, or motorcraft would be my picks. die hard platinum use to be made by odyssey, they may still make them but I dont know for sure. Do not buy a optima! They are crap now. There was a time when they were quality batteries but that was several years ago.

Sears Canada no longer sells batteries. Active Green/Ross sells Exides, can order Die Hard but claim Platinum's only sold in the U.S. to confirm what I read elsewhere. Motorcraft doesn't make an AGM battery so I'm back to my two original choices... Thanks for the suggestions though.
