Battery drain
My 2010 F-150 / 5.4L having a battery drain problem, , it will' go down overnited if not disconnect . Disconnected the Red positive main cables going to the engine bay fuse box and the alternator but it still has a power drain .The only cable left
is the red one going to the interior passenger side cabin fuse box. I removed all the fuses from it but it did not remove the drain problem, does anyone know how to disconnect that red cable from the interior fuse box ? Also would appreciate some
ideas on where the drain may be coming from ?

i only suggest this because i saw it happen more than once during my time at the ford dealer, pull the radio fuse
for whatever reason, when ford radios start to go bad, one of the first symptoms is a parasitic draw

Thanks for responding , yes a removed all the fuses from the interior fuse box but it did not solve the problem , just to be sure a wanted to disconnect the main cable going to it but im not sure how ?
New battery , new alternator and new starter installed last summer, the truck was sitting not used most of last winter as i mostly use my car , i removed the battery while the the truck was unused and re-installed it last week, truck started fine , changed the oil and took it for a drive everything looked fine. Left it overnite only to find out the battery went dead, bought another battery and it too ran down overnite, so its definitley not the battery. I connected up my ampmeter in series with the battery and it blew the internal 10 amp fuse.

That red cable appears to go to that connector with the red tab on it , can it be pulled out ?

you would have to disconnect the whole connector but that will kill everything inside the truck and then some, and you are supposed to disconnect the battery before unplugging it
Yes, the battery is disconnected and i never have the engine running while doing these tests, ive watched hours of videos on how to test for battery drain they were very helpful. Sofar iv'e narrowed the search down to the red cable going to that fuse panel on the passenger side cabin wall. Ive removed all the fuses from it but the problem is still there? I'm not sure how to preceed from here.

Is your shifter in the middle console? I had this problem about a month ago. There's a little button under mine that tell the computer if it's in park. It went bad and my dash lights would come on after the truck was locked, sometimes up to 20 minutes later. After over a week chasing my battery drain, maybe a $10 part and 10 minutes to change it out.
The part is called a shifter micro switch.
