Default Battery dead AGAIN. 4 batteries in 12 months!!!!

Well, went out to go to the store on Sunday and the truck was a paperweight. Wouldn't even unlock the power door locks. This is a repetitive issue with my truck. I don't have any accessories that stay plugged in or anything of that nature. Have had the battery changed twice for the same issue but that was at a different dealer back in Vegas. Its been dead every morning since. Got an appointment tomorrow morning with the dealer here in TX. If they tell me its just a bad battery I'm going to lose my mind!! I love the truck but its not cool that I have to keep a jumper box in the truck so I can bail MYSELF out...

Sucks to have that happen, sucks even more that it is a persistent issue.

Here are some threads that address a possible issue with the Dash lights coming on due to a faulty shift sensor, hope this helps.

Got the truck back yesterday. They couldn't find anything wrong. They are in contact with Ford Engineering but hadn't heard back. I needed the truck for stuff this weekend so I picked it up. Hopefully they will hear back from Ford Monday. In the meantime, the jumperbox is charged and under the back seat....

My truck did the same thing only it lasted a little over a year, crapped on me on a Sunday so I bought a battery from Wally world, hasn't missed a start since.

I have a strong suspicion Ford was sold a bad batch of batteries, happens more often than you would think.

Thought I recall someone else with a similar issue. Their problem was a bad wiring harness. If I recall correctly it was were the altinator plugs into the main harness. Just a FYI maybe take a look there. Hope you get it figured out

That is why I traded my 2013 on a 2014 with only 35000 miles on it. Wanted to keep my trucks under warranty until Ford solves this problem. I have never had any problems with my Ford Trucks but I drive them every day and on a lot of longer trips.

Something to check, a friend just noticed on my 12' that the mirror cover on my passenger visor does not close, leaving the light to stay on, there is a tsb for this issue, may cause battery drain. Getting it replaced this week.

I've always found it to be a fairly simple task to trouble-shoot voltage drain. There's something definitely going on to drain that many batteries to the point of having to replace them.

It would be a simple task if it was not intermittent. I'm not going to troubleshoot the vehicle every time I turn it off. From my research, most issues pertain to the BCM, so that is what I have requested the dealer replace. Electrical troubleshooting is what I do for work, but on corporate jets. As a vet, I thank you for your service!
