Default battery

2011 eco. 50,000 miles. What type of battery are you guys using? Mine is still good however I am sure it is due to go soon. Stock Motorcraft 4yrs old already. Should I just go for Motor craft again? Thanks.

Any future battery replacement plans will again be with Motorcraft.

Johnson Controls makes the Motorcraft battery, they also make the batteries they sell at other retailers like Walmart. My oem Motorcraft battery died after less than a year, the Walmart battery that took it's place is still kicking like new. Better price as well.

The main thing I have learned over the years about batteries is you just never know if you will get a turd or a good one, select the one that fits the budget and never look back.

Take a look at the most current Consumer Reports for group 65 batteries that fit our trucks. Just trying to send out the info. I will say the top rated battery also has the highest price tag by a large margin....hopefully for that kind of money it has one hell of a warranty.

Diehard, Interstate, and Duralast are also made by Johnson Controls, imagine that LOL. As I said, find one that fit's the budget.

Thanks for all the info guys. I might just go for oem. The oem I have now has been pretty good so far. I also have had luck in the past with Interstate. Consumers' above shows Interstate as a good battery. Diehard batteries have never lasted that long in my past vehicles. In conclusion after reading your post and doing a little googling it will probably be Motorcraft or Interstate.

Both are made by the same company, Johnson Controls. Get the one that sits in your budget.

The battery in my toyota died after 14 years. It was a napa brand battery. Thats what I replaced it with as I got some good years out of it.
