Default Bakflip Tonneau cover

Hey fellow 150's

I'm looking for some feedback on the Bakflip tonneau cover. It's either the flip or the roll?

Any help would be awesome!

It flips. On the 5.5' box it folds flat for the first two sections then rests against the rear window if fully open.

The bakflip is nice, it's easy to remove, can be used as a bench, and can hold a load on the top of it if closed.

If you are in the market for a flip cover, check out the Undercover Flex as well if you have a dealer near you.
The brand name on the Undercover is not riveted to the cover and comes off easily --- cleaner look. Nice cover that fits very flat and does not hit the cab when fully folded forward.

Fold-a-Cover is another good folding tonneau cover that is worth a look.

I've got the F1 Bak Flip cover, couldn't be happier. Dry as a bone, even through the recent tornado and terrential downpour weather we've had over the last 2 days. Looks great, get comments on it all the time. It's a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for, for most things in life.

I've had two Backflips - one on my F250 and now one on my F150 - it's actually the one that comes from Ford but is made by and identical to the Backflip G2. I like them, mostly watertight - a few small leaks in heavy rain and melting snow, but very little. They do dent easily - especially on the bottom when I close it on something.

I will be ordering another bakflip f1 and bakbox(toolbox) for my new 2013 fx4. I currently have the same setup on my Tundra, and I did the install myself. Fairly easily to install, and only ran me $1025 to my door for both the cover and toolbox.

There are differences between the g2, HD, and f1.... the f1 has better rubber seals and can hold more weight due to thicker construction. The g2 is all aluminum so it does dent fairly easy, the f1 has a hardened fiberglass coating that makes it highly dent resistant.

Hey thanks guys!!!

The one concern I have with the Bak is the rubbing against the cab?? Does this cause scratches and marks?

Cheers!!
