I just installed an Extang Encore and after multiple attempts at getting it to seal it still leaks horribly. Completely defeats the purpose of the cover if everything in the bed gets completely soaked when it rains.

I've had my F1 on since March and it doesn't leak, even in a heavy downpour.
My nephew put a G2 on his Chev about 2 months ago and his stays dry except for a little @ the tailgate area.Having said that, my Friend has an F1 on his shortbox F 150, and his does leak a fair bit.

GGG... check your cover and make sure it is flush with the front of the bed. It looks too far back on your tailgate as compared to mine. Also, did you use the stick on seal at the front of the Bed? Mine gets very little water, just a few drops, but it rests about an inch more to the front than yours.

John, Thanks.....yes I think it was too far back as well I told him that when I called few weeks back, Im taking it in and they can adjust it and water test it. Ist just covering the tailgate so far back if you wanted to you could get in there and pull the wire with something and open it with the tailgat locked.....way to big of a gap between the tailgate and it.

I will bring up the front seal...it was a ****ty Install I told them so!! even the ***** to prop it up were laying in the box had fallen off or weren't installed......

To the OP, when I put my F1 on, I was dismayed to find how badly it leaked even after a light rain. Fortunately, I was too busy to even deal with it, so I put it off. However, after a few weeks of sitting out in the Texas sun, everything seemed to settle into place and now I have ZERO leaks. Even driving in heavy rain. Except for the area where the man step cuts into the tailgate, couple of drops slip in there, but that is expected.

Since it's Winter, I'd suggest heating up the rubber seals with a heat gun and see if that helps.

Thanks for the info. I am hoping some heat helps too.

I just came in from trying to get my cover to seal better. The more I work with this cover the more I wish I hadn't purchased it. It is so cheaply made. There are aluminum burrs from machining hanging at almost every drilled hole. The rubber seals on each side were not fully in the grooves like they were supposed to be. I used a screwdriver to push the them in place. Bak must have all of $50 in labor and materials to produce this cover. What a BIG disappointment. If you are in the market for a cover, stay away from this one.
