Default Bad Luck with Tires

Got my truck in feb. Had 152 miles on it, picked up a concrete screw (fat head first) in turning lane in front of my job. Called dealer and they told me there was nothing they could do, wasn't covered. Had tire guy at work fix it and drove it for about 300 miles and just was a little worried about the size of the hole so I had him take spare off and swapped them out. Washing truck today (first time, dealer washed it the other) and now with 1500 miles I have found a 2 in cut about an inch from lip of rim on that tire. Not sure how long thats been there. I have the 265/70/17 Michelins and those things are expensive for a "stock" tire.

Guess I have an excuse for at least bigger tires now.

It's a sign telling u that u need to get bigger tires! LOL

That is some bad luck though. I've been driving on construction sites for the past 3 years and have never even picked up a nail.

its the craziest thing, truck has never sniffed anything other than pavement.

Now got to decide to get tires only or find some factory 18s or 20s or some aftermarket wheels.

My '97 had Wrangler AP's on it from the factory and I had 3 flat's in less then 3k miles. Started running LT tires and no more flat's except for a piece of steel that took out a 2 inch diameter section out of a BFG TA/KO. 3 ply sidewall let me drive to a safe place to change it out. Big difference in tire strength.
