I always thought a backup camera was for the people who cant walk and chew gum at the same time. Then I bought a 2008 Expedition Limited and it had the camera and I said I would never use it. Now I will never go without it, sure makes hookin the travel trailer up by myself really easy

I really do not like the navigation version because it takes your eyes completely off your surrounding. Rear view mirror version wins hands down.

For me it is better as a gut check that there is nothing immediately behind me that I couldn't see without a camera or really close quarters backing up into a spot. Other than that I use my mirrors and windows.

Echoing what others have said. I use it much more than I would have otherwise thought. I've never had one before but now I use it EVERY time i'm in reverse and I'll never be without one in the future.

I just installed the lockpick on my 2013 super crew with the myford touch system and the backup camera that the lockpick company sells. Works great! I highly recommend it. After trading in my 2011 f250 that had a backup camera I realized how much I missed having it. This was the 2nd thing I did to the new truck after adding a bakflip cover

I have a 2013 xlt without the backup camera. What is the best option to add one that displays in the rear view mirror?

Scott, did you get a wiring harness plug in your glovebox labeled for reverse camera? If so, did you use that in anyway with installing cam? I just picked up a 13 lariat w/o backup cam also and have not looked yet if wiring exists for the camera. I think I'm gonna go with the lockpick system.

I don't think I'll ever purchase another vehicle without one. It's so nice hooking up the boat in 1 minute by myself as opposed to 5. And just the fact that I can see exactly what's behind me!
