new owner of a 2012 stx advice please :D
Just purchased a 12 super cab stx 4x4 5.0 only has 18,000 miles got the truck on a jam up deal all still under warranty, now couple questions, i want to add the level kit, would this have to be done by ford to avoid hassles with the warranty or is it something i can do? Also im looking ( not sure if its possible) but would like to add the fender lip extenders i guess thats what they are called kinda looks like what the raptor has the black lip that goes around the wheel on the fender only reason why i would like to do this is because i stay on a dirt gravel road and im slinging rocks rocks up and not wanting to chip my paint, also does the 2012 trucks have the same lug pattern as the 02? i have some nice after market rims on my 02 crew cab i was thinking of wraping mud tires on them but i know im going to have to add wheel sensors i have 18's factory on the truck the ones on my 02 are 20's can i just the 18 inch wheel sensors or? sorry if some of this sounds stupid im new to these new generations of trucks lol. newest ones ive ever owned was my 02

Wheels wont fit. 5 does not equal 6.
Level kit? Do it yourself and then have the truck aligned.
On a side note, I am going to assume that you typed that up on your phone. Please use some punctuation, it makes life easier when I can read a post with semi accurate grammar.

jdtractor ... does the 2012 trucks have the same lug pattern as the 02?
Regarding TPMS sensors ... 2009+ TPMS sensors are the valve stem type, prior to that they are the band type (and incompatible).

thanks gdmjoe for being cool and explaining, like i said im just now learning about all this new stuff they are adding to these trucks, anyways any suggestions on stopping the rocks from slinging up and hitting the paint? For some reason i was thinking my 02 was 6 lug so guess that was dumb, got to love a forum **** dude i come in peace calm ya nuts man lmao im just a newbie looking for some expert advice. The newest truck i have owned was a 07 sport trac and it was a nightmare that i sold! stayed at the ford place more than i drove it i miss it that v8 4x4 was great but has nothing on this 2012 5.0 4x4, and yes i typed it on my phone im at work sorry i can't please you lol

Fender flares, factory look nice, not sure about actual function if u have wider tires or offset rims. Then u may want aftermarket flares, maybe 1.75-3" possibly. With factory flares u can get ford molded mudflaps or the weathertech no-drills

Mud flaps are what you need.
