There are a good many reports of this problem. The widely-accepted cause is moisture/condensation that gets built up in the CAC and ingested into the engine upon acceleration, usually when trying to reach highway speeds or pass on the highway. There is a TSB out from Ford on how to address the issue, although, to my knowledge, there is no guaranteed fix for the problem yet. Most would recommend taking your truck to the dealer so they can make the Ford-approved changes/updates.

There are also some that recommend drilling a small 1/16" (I think...) weep hole in the bottom of the intercooler to allow any moisture buildup to drain out before being ingested by the engine.

Finally, there is another group that push installing a catch can to correct the flaws inherent with the Ecoboost's PCV system and pull moisture out of the lines before it can build up in the intercooler.

I'm sure some with more knowledge about the issue can add better information, but that's a summary of what I've learned from reading various threads. Hope that helps.

Have you visited your local dealership for this concern, 011lari? They'll best be able to diagnose and suggest the best next steps. Please let me know; additionally, please fill me in with the current mileage on your truck. I'll look into this further.
