Default Axle wrap/hop

What's the deal with the axle hop on these trucks? Seems to be worse than it should be even with low throttle input and 4wd. My 10th gen never had it even when it was stock.

No idea but I know of a fix. Procomp ladder bars.

Are you sure you're not feeling the drive line slop? Some one here posted a video a while back. The transmission bounces around like crazy.

I should have specified when I have an issue, sorry. It's when I'm offroad mostly while in sand. I understand it's pretty common on sand but it seems to be more than anything I've ever driven.

Man, that is a good looking truck. Love the chrome wheels. Anyhow, does it help in sandy conditions? And do they limit the axle articulation?

Combination of the thin leaf springs and rear axle blocks. Try putting a couple hundred pounds of sand bags or something in the bed. Seems to help a little. Other options are traction bars or new progressive leaf packs like Deavers or WSI springs.

I will attest to the effectiveness of a set of Deaver springs. Absolutely -0- wheel hop. No more "bark....bark....bark..." when the turbos spool up. And, with all due respect to Rnlcomp, won't become "rock hangers" if you're off road.

Added benefits to the Deavers is that they ride like a Cadillac and totally control the wallowy back end when loaded. Pricey? Yes, but some things are well worth what they cost.

My other truck has a Procomp long AAL and I have no problem at all. I will be doing some towing a little later on and I was planning on the AAL with the rear block removed. I guess if that doesn't work I'll have to pony up on some custom deavers. This truck won't see nearly as much trail time as my other one but I would still like to enjoy it whenever I get that wild hair.

Thanks, haven't been off road to say for certain, no limit on axle articulation, they move quite well due to the way their mounted and in the event of any off road adventures, it takes about 2 mins to remove them so they don't become rock hangers.
