Why not give the folks at Currie a call?

I have mostly Currie gear on my jeep (but not their custom axle or diff bits)...

I may... but that's my last ditch effort as it will be a custom shaft they have to make and not something off the shelf so to speak. If the off the shelf Yukon ones work I am sure they will be fine. Strange, Currie and Moser all make pretty nice stuff.

The only "warranty" thing I want from Ford is to fix the a/c on the truck that broke. I actually had an appointment that I cancelled today as it won't be ready by January 2nd. Once it's diff is fixed I will take it in for the a/c
.. and if they don't fix anything based off the funny smell thread on here.. being swap my evap core... i will get someone to do that beyond Ford too.
Fair enough. How exactly did you break the axle shaft anyways?

Accelerating at an intersection entering a major highway. Wet pavement.. no wheel hop, locker was on as always and pop goes the weasel in a straight line. There was no instant traction that broke it... it was all the same wet surface. It was weakened with time most likely from the violent wheelhop this truck has. Sure I back out of it when it does it but that shock obviously was more than these stock axles can handle. I know I need to repair the wheelhop it does... hell it does it with no wheel spin initiating it.... I wanted long bars but obviously I am not waiting forever for companies so Caltracs it will be. My engine is not staying stock as ported heads, cams, long tube headers and whatnot are ordered and on their way. Like I said... warranty doesn't mean a lot to me.

My treatment by multiple Ford dealers doesn't help that feeling... they just basically want me to go away when I ask about the a/c.... like many other posters in the smell thread. The one dealer turned me away after booking 3 weeks in advance.. dropping the truck the night prior... only telling me the next day they had no one qualified to fix a/c there... and didn't know when they could reschedule. That's kind of a f off if you ask me.... Next one had it all day and did absolutely nothing.. actually tried to prove it was custom tuned because it had a catback exhaust on it and nothing else. At the time the truck actually didn't which was the funny part. Never checked system pressure. .. didn't do anything useful other than **** around on ids and phone late in the day saying they couldn't do anything. 2 other dealers didn't want to be bothered booking it in... just said "we are really busy so we don't know". That's Ford customer service here for you. None of these places know me... I dont give them attitude, I don't give my opinion on what's wrong... i don't mention forums or tsb's. .. i just ask about the symptoms and if they could look at it... I don't have time to waste with that so I deal with this accordingly.

Sorry to hear your service experience has been ****e. Seems the people with the worst service experience are you Albertans. Ontario Ford dealers have treated me very well, provided they can reproduce the issue, which is fair.

So that's my drivers axle shaft. Found rubble in the bottom of the pumpkin that are teeth from the lock plate on the E locker. Hopefully I can get new shafts quickly and then at least I can put it back together and move it around. I am going to wash all the metal crap out of the drivers axle tube and clean up the entire housing. Spider gears are fine... and more importantly the crown and pinion look perfect. So... Detroit locker and axles. I am wondering if the reason they say the Yukon don't work is something to do with the abs tone ring... wouldn't be a surprise. But it looks like it just presses on the shaft so now I can measure everything up and see what works!
