Does the ebrake does not hold the front wheels? The rear wheels stay locked, but the front wheels roll freely. Parking on a slippery surface is pretty standard where I live, which is why I drive a 4X4.

Back to my boat ramp analogy. Low tide, the ramp is a little slimy and you have 5000 pounds on the back. I would expect all four wheels to hold the load when in 4X4 mode. I don't think the most drivers would assume that the wheels would release when under a load if the engine is shut off.

Do the front wheels stay locked in 4wd when in 4wd? Do the clutches release in 4wd AND AWD?

I could see the clutches disengaging in AWD, but 4wd, I would imagine that is not the case.

Ebrake is rear wheels only, you are correct.

I dont know anyone who shuts their truck off at the boat ramp, but then again I recently watched a bunch of videos on youtube where there were vehicles in the water at boat ramps, lol! I feel your pain with your parking situation. Surprised the previous AWD vehicles you had stayed put either. I would think that the chevy system has to be the same, but maybe the Ford is too light on the rear end as an suv would be heavier back there to help the tires grip more. My dad has a 2003 tahoe and his 4x4 is always going out, that things had the transfer case and front end 4x4 parts replaced like 3 times and he rarely even uses the 4x4, lol! Pretty sure it has clutches though due to the Auto 4x4 feature. First time was under warranty. Maybe your best/cheapest solution would be to make a couple indents in your driveway and park with your front tires in them. Or get a winch and tie to a tree, lol!

same vehicle, same electric clutch, yes it will release when key is shut off in both modes.

I launch a lot of boats and have never shut my truck off on the ramp. If your tail pipe is under you will flood the exhaust. Possibly do damage to the cat (depending on how deep you are and how much vacuum the cooling gases create ). It's best to leave idle and set you brakes. As far as parking on slippery surface. I too have found my truck at the bottom of the drive after freezing rain. I found that if I park facing up hill (transfers weight to the rear wheels) and set the ebrake ( prevents slipping from just one wheel losing traction) that I've been fine. If your parking thwarts this method you should be chocking your wheels.
