You didn’t specify 5.0 or Ecoboost.
My 13 crew cab 5.0 with 275/60/20 typically averages 15-15.2. It’s down to 14.9 right now because I’ve been letting it idle to warm in the mornings.
Oversized wheels and tires can have a significant impact on mpg.

Here is the fuelly info for a 4.6l. Right around 15mpg average. Those are probably stock. What kind and size of tire do you have on there? If it is off road or bigger than stock that is where you lost your 1-2mpg.

Need to know more about your truck. Year, axle ratio, cab style, 4X4? etc. The older trucks with the 4.6 and 5.4 aren't as efficient as newer trucks. I had an 02 Supercab 4X4, 3.73 gears with the 4.6 that was terribly underpowered and was good for about 16-17 on the hwy. About 13 for my normal every day driving.
My current 2014 Supercab with 4X4, 5.0 and 3.55 gears has way more power. I get 15-16 for normal every day driving and 19, hwy.
I didn't reset the fuel mileage indicator for over 2 years and it was on 16.7 last October. That is a mix of city, hwy and a few thousand miles of towing about 3000 lbs. I reset it in October for a long road trip and it is currently on 17.1. I know that a lot of folks don't trust those things, but I've put 50,000 miles on the truck and every time I hand calculate my fuel mileage is is no more than 1/2 mpg off what the readout says.

My average is 15-15.4 ... The highest I got it before my tire upgrade was 16.2, and the highest since my new tires is 15.7

'13 XLT screw 4x4 3.5. i average around 13-14 for city driving, 16-18 for highway driving. on a recent long trip i noticed that if i change the cruise from 65-70 to 75 i lose 1mpg according to the display.
