Self tap, remove screws, apply silicone and re-insert screws. Use your brain.

I just bought one for the passenger side. Thanks for the heads up on the promo code.

Been looking at them for some time now and have been hesitant in purchasing one due to the fact that a plastic beadliner must be trimmed for it to fit. If I can get a measurement so mounting hardware only punches through the plastic liner, then I'm OK with that.

Says a guy who lives in the desert. In minnesota it would eventually rust. Otherwise, great product and great deal. Thanks for playing though....

Thinking a more specific thread title would have helped, i.e.;

Avg 4.5 stars by 166 reviewers, many of those with somewhat negative comments stating they'd buy again or a 2nd one for other side. ABS plastic vs steel diamond plate works for me, especially being easily removable when full width cargo space is needed.

+1
This promo is like a Group Buy with Autoanything having negotiated the deal in advance and handling all post-sale details, including FedEx shipping (likely drop-shipping from UnderCover's plant in MO). Made in USA too!

I live in Kansas. Las Vegas is old news.

None the less, self tapping screws into a truck bed is something people should consider before they buy. For me its a deal killer. Otherwise looks like a great product and killer deal.

Kansas is like the tropics with hardly any winter weather compared to minnesota where we dont see snow free pavement for weeks on end.

I've already planned my install.
A small pilot hole first, grease the back of the bracket, and threadlock the screws. Then close my tonneau cover.
My bed is water tight now already.
I don't see the bracket fitting my next truck, 5 yrs from now. So threadlock argument is a no go.
If you were driving a pickup in the late 80's, early 90's, before the invention of the wonderful c-clamp, everyone was drilling holes for your toolbox or cap. Nothing ever rusted.
zx 12 is right tho. If you don't have a cover, then extra prevention is probably a must.

Thank you op for this! Awesome deal, just picked one up for the passenger side. I only needed one and almost made the mistake of getting the driver side, but it wouldn't make sense if I was ever on the side of the road. Last thing I want is to be looking in my toolbox and getting swiped by an 18 wheeler!

How far do they stick out? I still want to be able to haul a 4x8 sheet of plywood.
