Default EDL switch issue

Recently my 2014 F150 was making a horrible sound from the rear as I was backing out of the driveway and I noticed the EDL light had come on. I pushed on the switch and it went out. A couple days later it happened again and when I checked to see if it was actually pulled out, the whole switch came out in my hand. From what I can see its only held on by a couple drops of glue. This is a real achilles heel for the truck as you are then locked into EDL and apparently 4WD low as well. Why didn't they use a screw to hold the thing on...

By pushing the swtich back in in and using a bunch of duct tape I can make it hold for awhile. What I'm wondering is whether I can just apply a couple drops of superglue to the two posts that seem to have been the failure point, or whether its strictly a dealer issue? I may need to have someone ride with me the 20 miles, pushing in on the switch to make sure it doesn't engage. Though as I read it, it won't engage if I am goinhg over 20. Still, could it trash my truck if the thing loosened up and engage it while I was driving?

The switch assembly brand new from tasca is $20 Item #10

This is for an fx4 trim as you didn't state what you had. If you have the 4 auto mode then make sure to get the correct switch.

Thanks. Mine just has the three 4WD settings, no auto. I don't seem to see anything but the one with 4 positions, even after changing the model to FX2. Also seems to be in a case of sorts, so that may mean it comes with the circuit board side housed in one unit and I need to replace the whole...but encouraged they seem to be cheap. Hopefully the dealer's is as well since I suspect its some behind the console work that I probably won't attempt without a shop manual...but I suppose I could look into one of those if they cover changing this puppy out.
