auto dimming mirrors

auto dimming option
It's part of the convenience package on the 2013 XLT. Standard on the Lariat. I had my salesman look it up. He knew the rearview dimmed , but not the drivers side mirror.

I have them on my heated mirrors. I didn't see anywhere it said auto dimming mirrors on my build sheet, but it had a lot of stuff different than the stickers on my truck. I don't think I could do without them now. I love mine. Cuts down the glare from idiots with misaligned headlights or the 6k+ blue beams. Makes for a much better driving experience at night.

Only the interior rearview mirror are AUTO dimmer, not the outside ones.
The drivers side mirror, for those that have heated, fold and memory feature, has a tinted film embedded in the mirror glass as a anti-glare feature. It is not auto dimming. The passenger side does not have the anti-glare feature, only a convex mirror feature like most vehicles.

Yes, they do. I had the same misunderstanding. See the + and - function and their wires I've circled? Electrochromatic function, same as the interior mirror. Drivers side only. This is why they charge around $300 for the glass for the driver side.
