My 2010 has 8K on it now and just recently started squealing. Doesn't do it all the time, but when it does it's pretty annoying. Not sure why.

Have you guys tried cleaning them up? Usually if you can spray some air in there or even flush them with water and let them dry the squeaking will go away. If it is persistent even after they are cleaned it could be something more serious, but at 8,000 miles I doubt it.

First off you have brake dust build-up which is what is causing your brakes to sqeal. You need to buy some "Brake Kleen" and spray the pads and calipers to remove the dust but I would advise to throw a rag or something under it otherwise it leaves a big mess.

Brake Kleen works well and dries very quickly just make sure you don't spray any hoses with it.

Mine has been squeaking since 1000 miles. I am now at 2300 and I guess I should try the brake kleen. Its pretty annoying especially when I am in an underground parking garage.

Ya I'm aware that dust can cause this...but I think its more than a dust issue. Just cant pin it down yet.

My brakes often squeal like a pig....

I do a bunch of mountain driving which is hard on the brakes and creates plenty of dust, but when they are acting up, it sounds like a city bus coming to a stop.

4,000 miles 2011 FX4.
