Anyone using FlexFuel (E20,E30 or E85)
Wondering if anyone uses the FlexFuels like E20, E30 or E85? If so do you notice any performance issues ( better or worse ), or does it affect your gas mileage? I've only seen the E85 and heard that it affects your mileage in a negative way. So I didn't think it was worth the 16 cent off a gallon price difference. But like I said, I've never tried it either. Curious what you guys are running?

Its really hard to get here in Ontario, I think there's only a handful of stations that offer it.
I've never tried it but I wouldn't mind giving it a shot mainly cause it increases your power output on the 5.0 (apparently).
The negative impact to mileage would not make it my fuel of choice however. Even if it came close to saving me some money due to the decreased cost per liter I'd hate having to go to the pump an extra time every week.
Maybe it would be a good fuel to use when towing?

The manual only talks about E85. Not sure I would put any other E type in my truck other than typical gas that might have 10% ethanol. I've used it for two back to back fillups and haven't used it since. It did seem that the truck had more power but could of been in my mind. MPG suffers about 25% so it has to be that much less just to break even or roughly a dollar less. It never is so I stick with Reg 87.

I use it sometimes (e85) and there is a noticeable power increase with the 5.0. I've used it on previous trucks (2010 Tundra 5.7 flex fuel) and that was not the case. I doubt you will see much power increase in the 5.4 due to the compression ratio which is why you see it in the 5.0's. Gas mileage decreased 3-4 mpg across the board.

The trucks can take any blend of ethanol from 1-85% so E20 or E50 it doesn't matter.
That being said, I only run E85 for fun. Truck feels a lot better on it but the MPGs suck.
