its not sharp and no one has hit their leg on the corner. I guess its possible but you would need to sit with your legs between the door and the side of the seat. When someone is exiting the truck, they naturally extend their leg.

Thanks... I've been looking for one of these. I just bought one for my scab. That's an awesome price!

Great customer service also and fast shipping.
How is the box fastened to the floor with a standard installation?

The instructions list a drill as one of the tools required for an optional installation. What needs to be drill in order to fasten the box to the floor of the truck? I hope it's not having to drill hole(s) in the floorboard.

The standard installation does not require any drilling. The box is secured by adding two connectors/plates to the the existing seat posts. You remove the bolts, slide the plates in, re-install the bolts and connect the plate to the box w/thumb screws. You can see one of the metal plates they use on the web site pic....it is in the bottom right corner of the pic.

The more secure instalation does require drilling into the floorboard.

This is the first underseat storage that looks appealing to me. I have a thick carpet floor mat back there though...probably 3/4 inch thick. Will it fit on top of that?

I think so. I hvae the standard carpet plus the weathertech liner and there seems to be about a half inch of clearance.

I ordered it and returned it. It's a quality item but the corner sticks out beyond the seat bottom making it more difficult to enter the rear of the truck. Not worth it for me.

Where did you guys order them from? Price/shipping? I emailed the manufacturer a couple of months ago asking about a Military discount. They referred me to three websites of retailers, saying that they didn't want to undercut their retailers prices. I emailed all three and got absolutly no response, and never saw the item(for our trucks) listed on their sites.
