I'm really not a happy camper right now.

I have asked the service adviser to ask Ford to goodwill it and told him if they didn't I was going to pull the damn thing out in my driveway.

I am really disappointment in Ford's quality as of late, I hope Ford makes this right.
Ford doesn't replace individual parts. They remove and replace the entire assembly. Don't know why - nothing has been improved. I was in a dealership and they had numerous broken units in the back room.
I bought parts from sunroofdr and replaced mine. No seat removal necessary. Job took 3 hours.

3 hours isn't bad at all. Still waiting on Ford to call back, but I'm guessing I'll be ordering from the sunroofdr soon.

With all the people having this problem maybe we should try to set up a group buy.

That's three hours after you do your research as to how to remove all the hardware below the headliner. All of that stuff is easy when you find out how it is attached. We just laid the headliner on the seat tops.
The sunroof dr provides directions for the rail repairs. All of the rest is up to you.
For my repair, there were two of us.

^^ I have actually dropped the headliner once already. I have a friend who has offered to help that does auto body for a living, so he has dropped many f150 headliners too. I want to say I was able to drop the headliner in about 30 minutes, but I didn't remove it from the truck. That was the first time I had done it so I am guess I should be able to drop in about 15-20 minutes the next time around plus the time it takes to get it out of the truck.

I'm here to help, mountain mike. Please fill me in with the model year of your F-150 so I can look into some available options. You've absolutely done the right thing by bringing this to the attention of your local dealership.

Glad to hear that your truck's being taken care of, lariut. Let me know how it goes; I'll be here to answer any questions that arise. Additionally, I'm able to document feedback with a PM from you, including your full name, VIN, best daytime contact number, and servicing dealership.

I'll sell you mine. Bought it before contacting my dealership and finding out my truck was still under warranty

I'm pretty sure an Automated Car Wash blower was the cause of my sunroof failure. The last blower was only about 3 and half to 4 inches from the glass. The first time I went through I didn't notice it. It was after the second time I went through that it broke when retracting inside because the force of the Blower pushed the glass down which bent some of the connection rods.

Thank you, I sincerely appreciate it. I'm waiting to hear back from the dealer. They were supposed to be checking to see if there were any options available. If they aren't able to help out, I'll be in touch.

I was told by the Dealer in no uncertain terms that the entire track mechanism needed to be replaced not just repaired,. They didn't repair only replace.

Add me to the 'moonroof' track club.....mine crapped out this weekend. 2013 FX4 supercrew with 60k miles (which shouldn't matter to a moonroof). When is Ford going to add a few nicer parts and FIX this problem. Mine wouldn't close up and after inspecting the rails found all the plastic parts jamming things up.

This is my 2nd Ford in my life. My first was a maintenance nightmare with coil packs, A/C system, etc. I traded it in at 90k miles. I bought this one used less than a year ago and was hoping for better quality this time around. Then I get this.....I had a Toyota previous to this with 180k miles and all I did was change the oil and put fuel in her. I am already starting to regret coming back to the Ford.

Ford Service....you could start by getting everyone here your direct number, well, better yet, you shouldn't do that....don't want nasty calls/texts coming through at 2am....
