I'm pretty sure that's the current latest fix. I've had very good results with Lucas Assembly Lube. It's available at O'Reilleys, AutoZone and probably several others. It looks like green molasses and comes in a 4oz bottle.

This might sound funny, but the driveway description is the same clunk I had on my truck. Did you have a bedliner installed? The bedliner guys may have not torqued down the bed bolts. I torqued mine down and the clunk that I thought was from the leaf springs went away completely.

I have a Rhinoliner and the idiots who installed it just sprayed over my bolts, rather than remove them like they should have.

I picked up a tube of XG8 or whatever it is from the dealer the other day, and I'm going to do the slip bump fix tomorrow in hopes that I'm wrong about the leaf springs and this is the problem. I doubt it, but at this point I'll try anything.

Well, I pulled the driveshaft, cleaned it real good, hit the end of the yoke with some 1000 grit sand paper and brake cleaner to clean it real good, lubed the snot out of the splines and put a light coating on the outside, and put it back together.

Zero change in the noise.

So.... has anyone replaced their leaf springs?

Very much so. The bed on my truck is slightly crooked, I wanted to shim it up a tad on the front drivers side but realized the bolts are rhino lined in.
