Default Anyone Plasti Dip their Ingot Silver?

I have a 2012 Ingot Silver SCREW XLT. The chrome is getting to me. I'm not sure it I should use the black, smoke, or gunmetal to do a two tone, cover the chrome bumpers, and the chrome grill. The grill is my main concern. If you've done anything remotely close, tell me about it and post a few pics. I may look around for a PTM grill if I don't like the dipped grill.

No way I'd do this.

What's with the fear of chrome these days ?

It will easily outlast paint, especially on the front bumper.

I agree, I like chrome, and there is no way I would put a $5 can of spray on tool handle coating on the bumper of a new truck. The funny thing is some guys buy a truck with the added chrome package, then cover all the chrome with plasti-dip.

Powder coating or painting the bumpers or grille is the best way to kill the chrome, without looking cheap. But everyone says that if you don't like plasti-dip, it peels right off. But what if your bumper scrapes a bush offroad, will it peel the black off the bumper?

But you can get plasti-dip in several colors, even a make your own color kit.

Finally! To actually see a pic really helps. I like it, and the good part is if I change my mind, I can peel it off. Thanks for sharing.
