i just got some sand paper and scuffed it up real good in the back. then i had a couple cans of brake clean and just went to town. Spray, wipe spray wipe...got is real nice and clean the just went to town with some undercoating..this is one of those things thats a little job and one of those little differences that everyones like, ''why does your truck look so much different'' and can never figure it out

I painted mine but it didn't stop mud from getting as far as the backside of the taillights. So I installed a rugged liner, I love it. No more mud way up under the fenders and easy to clean up.

Subtle change but I like it! The worst part is cleaning it

Before, after a good cleaning

Great mod guys, this should be added to the $50 and under best mods thread. What kind of spray paint are you using?

I used undercoating but if I were to do it again I would probably use spray on bed liner. Those options are more durable than paint.

It's pretty noticeable. I think it looks great. Way better. How did you clean it. Any good tips so I don't have to use any strength? I'm worn out from my LED install over the weekend ;-)

i have used spray undercoating in the past that comes in a rattle can, between the prepping and painting. it is just one big pain in the ***. i am at at a point in my life where i don't have the time or patience to do this. for mere $83 and 45 minutes i put on the rugged liners from Alligator Performance. easier to wash out the mud after going offroad and they look good.
