Default Anyone mod those "loaves of bread" ?

I'm sure those black plastic rectangular "inserts" "loaves of bread" in the front bumper area are engineered for a purpose. Has anyone removed them or done a modification? not a bull or brush bar.

If they serve a technical function- what is it?- something to do with increasing or creating the desired of most effective air flow intake?

I just wish they didn't stick out like they do... if they were a black plastic insert that was flush with the bumper, then it wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb like they do

Light? Can we fit driving lights in the space?... That's the one thing on the truck I just couldn't figure out.

my guess is it's a extra bumper of a sorts since they stick out further than the metal bumper. For example pulling into a park garage you get to close to the wall in front of you and it hits the plastic bumper vs. the metal one thus saving a dent in the metal bumper. My 2 cents anyway. There are bumper covers as well that remove those insert. Imagine that you could take them out and install some type of billet grille in it's place?

They are for low speed bumps to the bumper to help keep damage down

a $12 bracket from the dealer and a tag of your choice can fix that

no front tags needed here in Florida either, but...

helps break up the look a little
