I was putting in my passenger side Door Detent 3.0 this morning, and I found this part unsecured in the dash.Too dark to read anything molded in the plastic, so I took a couple of snapshots to ask the knowledgeable members of this forum... anyone have an idea? It is approximately 6x1" with two copper
threaded inserts and the black wire wrapped around it in the pictures.
The Ford part number does not come up when I put it in Google, or in the online Ford catalog. It reads as follows... FoMoCo BC3T14A614 EHQWC Made in Mexico.

Looks to be the remote start antenna. It should be secured above the glovebox using zip-ties.

Now I can understand why my remote start only works 10 ft away from the truck! I guess my Ford installer didn't have zip ties on him (or kept mine!) He must have just thrown it in the tangled mess of wires behind the dash...Thanks guys! I will fix this asap, and report back!

Sad thing is the zip ties come in the part package. He was just lazy or stupid or both... easy fix though and should definitely help with your range.

Now that you know what and where it is, I would get the exended antenna that goes up into the headliner.

Just purchased this part... FL3Z-15K602-A.. from SunriseFordParts.com for $19.87 + free shipping... a good $10 less than any other online Ford Parts dealer!
