Can't seem to mount these things properly, and one ballast is dead, waiting for a replacement. Also the '3000k' hid bulbs it came with aren't anywhere close to as yellow as the halo's

What a pain....

What is the issue you're running into with the mounting?

Well, I found some perfect hokes above the bumper grille right next to the hood latch to mount these in, but they're about 3" too high and you can't really see the lights through the grille. I need to extend the bolts by about 3", home Depot has bolt extenders but only imperial and of course mine is metric. Turning out to be more of a pita than I bargained for... thought about just buying a smittybilt light bar and mounting them in that, might still come to that. at least the switch and relay are hooked up and working well.

That was a good placement for them. Nice work.
Now bring on that lousy weather!

They were back ordered through Amazon, but should arrive this week. Hope the pkg is not smashed. UPS here could ruin a boat anchor

Hey check out the thread 'f150 aluminum grill lights'. I have a picture with my new grill lights. Aside from the bad cell phone exposure, ( my directionals and fogs look white) you get a good perspective of how focused and bright the Halo's are.
Still very happy I went with them.

Unlike the $100 bucks worth of led's sitting in the toolbox drawer.

Mast: I can't find this bulb available anywhere - Amazon retracted there availability - it's back ordered again. So tried a couple other places and they said they had them - only to find out they were going to bait and switch another brand
